بيان عاجل من الخارجية الأمريكية حول لقاءات «بلينكن» في الرياض بشأن غزة

قال المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية ماثيو ميللر، إن وزير الخارجية الأمريكي أنتوني بلينكن تحدث خلال المفاوضات مع المسؤولين العرب في العاصمة السعودية، الرياض، لصالح وقف فوري لإطلاق النار في قطاع غزة.
وأوضح ميلر في بيان له، أن بلينكن اجتمع مع وزراء خارجية مصر والأردن وقطر والإمارات العربية المتحدة والمملكة العربية السعودية والأمين العام لمنظمة التحرير الفلسطينية.
وأشار إلى أن الاجتماع ناقش أهمية الزيادة المستدامة في المساعدات الإنسانية لمعالجة الوضع المزري في غزة.
وقال ميلر إن بلينكن أعاد التأكيد على دعم الولايات المتحدة للجهود الرامية إلى تحقيق سلام دائم في المنطقة، بما في ذلك من خلال الطريق إلى دولة فلسطينية تتمتع بالأمن.
وأوضح البيان أن بلينكن شدد خلال الاجتماع على ضرورة وقف فوري لإطلاق النار في غزة والإفراج عن الرهائن المتبقين لدى حماس.
ووفقا لبيان وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية، فقد اجتمع بلينكن أيضا مع ولي العهد السعودي الأمير محمد بن سلمان في الرياض.
وخلال الاجتماع، شدد بلينكن على أهمية الحفاظ على الزيادة في المساعدات الإنسانية لغزة، والتوصل إلى وقف فوري لإطلاق النار في غزة يضمن إطلاق سراح الرهائن، ومنع المزيد من انتشار الصراع.
وناقش الوزير وولي العهد السعودي الجهود الجارية لتحقيق إقليمي دائم.
وقال المتحدث باسم الخارجية الأمريكية، إن "السلام والأمن، بما في ذلك من خلال زيادة التكامل بين دول المنطقة وتعزيز التعاون الثنائي بين الولايات المتحدة والمملكة العربية السعودية".
وأوضح أن الجانبان أشارا خلال الاجتماع إلى "الحاجة الملحة للحد من التوترات الإقليمية، بما في ذلك وقف هجمات الحوثيين التي تقوض حرية الملاحة في البحر الأحمر والتقدم في عملية السلام في اليمن".
ووصل بلينكن إلى المملكة العربية السعودية، وهي النقطة الأولى في جولته بالشرق الأوسط، في 29 أبريل، ومن ثم سيسافر إلى إسرائيل والأردن، حيث سيناقش الوضع في قطاع غزة.
