قال الباحث في تقنية المعلومات عادل الغامدي، إن اعتماد السعودية على الحكومة الإلكترونية، وتقدمها في مجال الرقمنة، ينعكس على متوسط ساعات استخدام الإنترنت، الذي يمثل 6 ساعات و20 دقيقة.
وأضاف خلال مداخلة هاتفية عبر «العربية fm»، أن المملكة مقارنة بدول كبيرة أخرى يتطلب استخدام الإنترنت، مشيرا إلى أن فترة الذروة بالنسبة لاستخدام الإنترنت من الساعة التاسعة مساء، وحتى الـ11 مساء، حيث أصبح التوجه على الأجهزة الذكية بكافة أنواعها.
وأكد على أن هناك الكثير من العوائل تمنع أبنائها من استخدام الأجهزة الإلكترونية، طوال الأسبوع، حتى يأتي نهاية الأسبوع، فترة الإجازة، وهو ما يجعل الاستخدام أكثر عن أي أيام أخرى مماثلة، وهناك عدد من التطبيقات باتت الأكثر استخداما، أبرزها واتس آب، وسناب شات، ويوتيوب، وكذلك التطبيقات الحكومية، أبرزها تطبيق «أبشر».
