الصين.. سباق مع الوقت قبل أمطار غزيرة جديدة

ومنذ الخميس الماضي، يشهد إقليم غوانغدونغ الجنوبي أمطاراً غزيرة تسببت تداعياتها بمقتل أربعة أشخاص وإجلاء أكثر من مئة ألف من السكان.
وحدوث فيضانات كبيرة ليس أمراً عادياً في هذه الفترة من السنة في هذه المنطقة الوارفة دون المدارية. وهي قد تكون على صلة باشتداد التغيّر المناخي، بحسب مسؤول رفيع المستوى.
وتسبّب هطول الأمطار في ارتفاع منسوب الأنهر، وأثار مخاوف من فيضانات «لا يحدث مثلها سوى مرّة واحدة في قرن من الزمن»، وفق السلطات.
في بلدة شاتانغ، تضرّرت المنطقة السياحية بفعل ارتفاع مستوى المياه. ويساعد أفراد وموظّفون في الحكومة المحلية على إزالة الوحل من الشوارع، وفق ما أفاد تقارير إعلامية.
حذّرت السلطات من أمطار غزيرة جديدة في إقليم غوانغدونغ بين مساء أمس الأربعاء ويوم غد الجمعة، حيث يتوقّع هطول 240 ميليمتراً من الأمطار في عدّة أجزاء من المنطقة وقد تبلغ التساقطات 300 ميليمتر في بعض المواقع. وحذر أيضاً مسؤولون السكان من نشر «إشاعات» بشأن انقطاع لبعض المواد الأساسية أو ارتفاع أسعارها.
وجاء في بيان صدر مساء أمس، عن الهيئة الناظمة للسوق الإقليمية «بغية تعزيز إدارة أسعار السوق خلال موسم الفيضانات، يرجى منكم عدم تلفيق معلومات أو نشرها بشأن ارتفاع في الأسعار أو محدودية في سلاسل الإمداد أو زيادة كبيرة في الطلب».
ويعيش نحو 127 مليون شخص في إقليم غوانغدونغ، حيث تتركّز عشرات الآلاف من الشركات التي تصدّر منتجاتها إلى الخارج.
ولم تشهد مناطق كثيرة في الإقليم فيضانات بهذا الحجم منذ البدء بجمع بيانات في هذا الخصوص في الخمسينيات، بحسب الإعلام الرسمي.
وقال يين جيجي، كبير الخبراء في مجال علوم المياه في وزارة الموارد المائية عبر أثير إذاعة الصين الوطنية، إن «اشتداد التغيّر المناخي» زاد من احتمال وقوع هذا النوع من التساقطات التي لا تحدث عادة سوى في الصيف.
