إنقاذ حياة طفل رضيع عمره 12 ساعة من مرض معقد بالقلب في مواساة الدمام

نجح الفريق الطبي في مستشفى المواساة بالدمام من إنقاذ حياة طفل رضيع عمره 12 ساعة من مرض معقد، حيث كان يعاني من صعوبة شديدة في التنفس وزرقة شديدة (نسبة الأوكسجين 60%) لم تتحسن مع التنفس الصناعي.
وفور وصول الوليد، عمل الطاقم الطبي في وحدة حديثي الولادة على استقرار حالته نسبيا. وعلى الفور تم استدعاء الدكتورة نيفين ممدوح استشارية القلب والقسطرة التداخلية للأطفال وحديثي الولادة والتي فحصت الوليد وقامت بعمل الفحوصات اللازمة، حيث أظهرت الأشعة بالموجات فوق الصوتية على القلب وجود مرض خلقي مركب وهو انعكاس مزدوج في البطينين والشرايين وتضخم شديد بعضلة القلب، وانسداد تام في الصمام الرئوي، مما يمنع وصول الدم للرئتين وتحميله بالأكسجين وهو سبب الزرقة الشديدة.
