شهد مستشفى الدكتور سليمان الحبيب بالخبر، عملية ناجحة لسيدة عمرها "35"عاماً، تم فيها استئصال أورام ليفية ضخمه حجمها مجتمعة حوالي "18" سنتيمتر مكعب، مع المحافظة على الرحم، وأنهت العملية معاناتها مع جملة من الأعراض الحادة التي ألقت بظلال قاتمة على حياتها، وحد من قدرتها على ممارسة مهامها اليومية، ذكرت ذلك د.

رشا الخليلي استشارية جراحة النساء والولادة رئيس الفريق الطبي المعالج.
التي قالت أن المريضة راجعت المستشفى وهي تشتكي من نزيف حاد مستمر وغزارة بالدورة وشعور بالضغط الشديد في الحوض وانتفاخ بالبطن، علماً بأنها كانت قد خضعت قبل نحو "5" أعوام لعملية استئصال أورام ليفية من الرحم.

وأوضحت أن الفريق الطبي في النهاية خلص إلى خطة علاجية، وأخضع المريضة لعملية جراحية تم فيها استئصال الأورام بشكل كامل وبدقة عالية مع المحافظة على الرحم، وقدرتها على الحمل، رغم ضخامة الأورام وصعوبة مكانها إذ أنها نشأت خلف الرحم، وامتدت للجهة الامامية.
