ويُعدُّ مركز فتح الخير بولاية صور أحد المعالم الثقافية والتاريخية التي تحكي عن التراث ‏البحري لولاية صور كما تضم الولاية عدد من المحميات من ضمنها محمية راس الجنز والتي تم انشاءها وفقاً لمرسوم سلطاني بهدف حماية تعشيش السلاحف ويمتاز شاطيء رأس الجنز بشهرته العالمية في عملية تعشيش السلاحف الخضراء المهددة بالانقراض (Cheloniamydas)، وربما أحد أهم المناطق التي تتركز فيها عملية التعشيش على طول سواحل المحيط الهندي. إنه المكان الوحيد الذي يجتمع فيه الجمهور لمشاهدة ومراقبة عملية التعشيش لهذه السلاحف البحرية العملاقة والمذهلة
