طيران الرياض ينضم رسمياً للميثاق العالمي للأمم المتحدة UNGC

كشف "طيران الرياض" الناقل الجوي الوطني الجديد الذي يعتمد أحدث التقنيات الرقمية في مجال الطيران، والمملوك بالكامل من قبل صندوق الاستثمارات العامة، عن انضمامه اليوم رسمياً للميثاق العالمي للأمم المتحدة UNGC التي تعد أكبر مبادرة لتشجيع الشركات حول العالم على تبني أفضل ممارسات الاستدامة والمسؤولية المجتمعية، والرامية إلى تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة UNSG.

وجاء انضمام طيران الرياض إلى هذا الميثاق العالمي رسمياً، عبر خطاب تم إرساله من قبل الرئيس التنفيذي لطيران الرياض توني دوغلاس، إلى الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش، يتم فيه تحديد العمل لتحقيق المبادئ العشر للميثاق العالمي للأمم المتحدة UNGC. وسيتبنى طيران الرياض كونه مشاركاً فاعلاً في الميثاق، سياسات وممارسات مستدامة متماشية مع مبادئ المسؤولية المجتمعية في مجالاتٍ مثل حقوق الإنسان وحقوق العمال والممارسات البيئية ومكافحة الفساد، علاوةً على تقديم تقارير دورية عمّا يتم إحرازه من تقدم في هذه الجهود. وسيكشف طيران الرياض عن أول تقاريره الخاصة بالاستدامة قبيل انطلاق عملياته التجارية رسمياً منتصف العام 2025 ضمن إطار الجهود الرامية إلى بلوغ أهداف الأمم المتحدة للتنمية المستدامة الـ 17 SDGs، والعمل جنباً إلى جنب مع الشركاء والمعنيين لتسريع وتيرة بلوغ هذه الأهداف بحلول العام 2030. وأكد الرئيس التنفيذي لطيران الرياض أن التزام طيران الرياض بتحقيق الأهداف المستدامة التي حددتها المملكة العربية السعودية من خلال تبني أفضل الممارسات العالمية وقيادة دفة القطاع نحو دمج المعايير البيئية والاجتماعية والحوكمة في كل المجالات. وقال: "نلتزم بتنفيذ ممارسات الاستدامة والمعايير البيئية بحذافيرها، بدايةً من عملياتنا الأرضية ورحلاتنا الجوية مروراً بالثقافة التي نتبناها بمكاتبنا، وحتى ممارسات موظفي طيران الرياض خارج مقار عملهم، ولا شك في أن هذا الالتزام يمثل فرصة ذهبية بالنسبة لنا للقيام بما يتعين علينا فعله للسير على الطريق الصحيح. ويهدف الميثاق العالمي للأمم المتحدة UNGC الطوعي الذي تم إطلاقه في العام 2000، إلى تشجيع الشركات من جميع أنحاء العالم، على تطوير أفضل الممارسات والسياسات التجارية وتنفيذها والإفصاح عنها، وستتوفر لطيران الرياض كونه عضواً في الميثاق العالمي للأمم المتحدة UNGC، مجموعة كبيرة من الأدوات والموارد التي ستمكنه من تعزيز مجالات التعليم والتدريب والتطوير الخاصة بالاستدامة لموظفيه. من جهته أعرب المدير التنفيذي لشبكة الميثاق العالمي للأمم المتحدة UNGC بالمملكة إبراهيم الهلالي، عن سعادته بالإعلان عن انضمام شركة طيران الرياض إلى شبكة الاتفاق العالمي للأمم المتحدة في المملكة العربية السعودية، والذي يظهر التزامهم بالاستدامة في مجال الطيران من خلال قرارهم بالانضمام إلى الشبكة قبل عام من بدء العمليات التشغيلية، مما يبرز التفاني تجاه الممارسات التجارية المسؤولة. ويستهدف الناقل الوطني الجديد الذي أُعلن عن إطلاقه في مارس من العام 2023، التحليق بأجنحته إلى الأجواء بحلول العام 2025 ليكون شركة الطيران الأكثر تقدماً على مستوى العالم، من خلال تبنّي أفضل الممارسات المستدامة والارتقاء بتجارب السفر والنقل الجوي وإرساء معايير جديدة كلياً من حيث الموثوقية والراحة والضيافة كما سيتبنى طيران الرياض أحدث ما توصلت إليه التكنولوجيا الرقمية والابتكارات الحديثة لتقديم تجارب استثنائية تحمل طابع كرم الضيافة السعودي الأصيل، وتحقيق أهداف الإستراتيجية الوطنية للنقل والخدمات اللوجستية، ومساهمته في تنويع الاقتصاد السعودي وإيجاد المزيد من الوظائف نحو بلوغ مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030، حيث يستعد الناقل الوطني الجديد لربط المملكة بأكثر من 100 وجهة حول العالم، والمساهمة في الناتج المحلي الإجمالي غير النفطي بنحو 20 مليار دولار، فضلاً عن توفير أكثر من 200,000 وظيفة مباشرة وغير مباشرة على الصعيدين المحلي والعالمي.
