اعربت وزارة الخارجية عن ترحيب المملكة العربية السعودية باعتماد الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، قراراً بشأن تدابير مكافحة كراهية الإسلام"، وتعيين مبعوث خاص للأمم المتحدة معني بمكافحة الإسلاموفوبيا.
وتجدّد الوزارة دعم المملكة لكافة الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى مكافحة الأفكار المتطرفة وقطع تمويلها، مشيرةً إلى تشجيع المملكة وتبنيها لقيم السلام والحوار بين أتباع الأديان والحضارات، ودعمها الدائم لترسيخ ثقافة الاحترام المتبادل بين أتباع الأديان والطوائف والمذاهب، وتعزيز ثقافة
