سجل فريق الرياض هدفه في الدقيقة 52، عبر علي البليهي بالخطأ في مرماه. فيما أحرز روبن بنيفيز هدف التعادل لفريق الهلال في الدقيقة 66، قبل أن يضيف ميشايل ديلغادو الهدف الثاني في الدقيقة 75.وتمكن اللاعب ميتروفيتش من تسجيل الهدف الثالث لفريق الهلال في الدقيقة 90 3 من ركلة جزاء. بتلك النتيجة، رفع الهلال رصيده إلى 65 نقطة في المركز الأول بجدول ترتيب الدوري، بينما تجمد رصيد الرياض عند 23 نقطة في المركز الخامس عشر.
