يواصل مجلس دبي الرياضي جهوده وفعالياته في مجال دعم فئة كبار المواطنين وتوفير الفرصة لهم لممارسة الرياضة والتعرف على أفضل الممارسات في التغذية السليمة والإسعافات الأولية البسيطة والتعامل مع حالات الإجهاد وغيرها من المعلومات المفيدة التي تجعل من ممارسة الرياضة نشاطًا يوميًا أساسيًا وفرصة للقاء أقرانهم وقضاء وقت ممتع ومفيد في مختلف المنشآت الرياضية المنتشرة في دبي.
ونظم مجلس دبي الرياضي بالتعاون مع هيئة تنمية المجتمع برنامجًا رياضيًا منوعًا لكبار المواطنين في «عالم دبي للرياضة» ضمن فعاليات النسخة الثالثة من مبادرة "صيفنا رياضي" التي أطلقها المجلس وتشمل 140 فعالية تقام على أكثر من 94 موقع في مختلف مناطق دبي ضمن 30 لعبة رياضية متنوعة تهدف إلى تشجيع كافة فئات المجتمع على ممارسة الرياضة والنشاط البدني خلال فترة الصيف، ويقام البرنامج الرياضي لكبار المواطنين بالتعاون مع هيئة تنمية المجتمع، وشارك في الفعاليات رواد نادي ذخر الاجتماعي، وتتضمن الفعاليات تنظيم أنشطة رياضية وترفيهية ومحاضرات وورش عمل تقام صباح كل أربعاء.
مجلس دبي الرياضيوتابع وفد مجلس دبي الرياضي الأنشطة التي تم تنظيمها في البرنامج وقدم محاضرة توعوية وتطبيق عملي لكبار المواطنين حول الإسعافات الأولية للإصابات التي يتعرض لها الرياضيين في هذه المرحلة من العمر خلال ممارسة الرياضة، كما تم اطلاع كبار المواطنين المشاركين بالبرنامج الرياضي على برنامج الفعاليات الرياضية التي ينظمها المجلس خلال العام وتزيد على 450 فعالية خلال العام، وحفزهم المجلس على المشاركة في مختلف الفعاليات الرياضية، كما شارك الحضور في مباراة كرة قدم تم تنظيمها في ملاعب عالم دبي للرياضة الذي يستمر حتى شهر سبتمبر المقبل ويتضمن 40 ملعبًا على مساحة 300 ألف قدم مربع من بينها 17 ملعبًا لكرة الريشة، وستة ملاعب لكرة القدم، وثلاثة ملاعب لكرة السلة، وملعبًا للكريكت، وملعبين للبادل، ثمانية ملاعب لتنس الطاولة، وملعبين للتنس الأرضي، وملعبين للكرة الطائرة وملعبين للبيكل بول، وصالة رياضية واستوديو للياقة البدنية.
مجلس دبي الرياضيويعمل مجلس دبي الرياضي بالتعاون مع هيئة تنمية المجتمع على تنظيم برنامج رياضي حافل لكبار المواطنين خلال شهر سبتمبر المقبل والذي سيتم فيه تنظيم فعاليات رياضية متنوعة، وتتضمن مبادرة "صيفنا رياضي" أيضًا تنظيم العديد من الفعاليات الرياضية التي تقام بالتعاون بين مجلس دبي الرياضي مع مختلف القطاعات الحكومية والخاصة تأكيدًا على أهمية تكامل الأدوار بين مختلف القطاعات لخدمة المجتمع بالرياضة من خلال تنظيم فعاليات رياضية تعزز التنوع في الرياضات من أجل توفير الفرص لجميع أفراد المجتمع للمشاركة في الأنشطة والبطولات الرياضية المختلفة التي تمنح الفرصة لكافة الفئات من المواطنين والمقيمين في دبي وتجمعهم لممارسة رياضتهم المفضلة والترويح عن أنفسهم.
