عاجل : بريطانيا تدافع عن أطروحات إسرائيل بمحكمة العدل الدولية

سرايا - قالت بريطانيا إنه لا يجب حل الخلافات بين إسرائيل وفلسطين في إطار الوظيفة الاستشارية لمحكمة العدل الدولية، مدافعة بذلك عن الأطروحات الإسرائيلية.
جاء ذلك في كلمة لأستاذ القانون الدولي بجامعة أكسفورد، نيابة عن بريطانيا، دان ساروشي، أمام محكمة العدل الدولية بمدينة لاهاي الهولندية، خلال جلسات استماع لمناقشة التبعات القانونية الناشئة عن سياسات إسرائيل وممارساتها في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة.
وأوضح ساروشي، أنه "يجب ألا تقوم المحكمة بحل النزاعات بين الأطراف باستخدام اختصاصها الاستشاري. وبدلاً من ذلك، تتمثل الوظيفة الاستشارية للمحاكم في تقديم المشورة القانونية لهيئات الأمم المتحدة التي تطلب الرأي".
وأضاف أن "الوضع الحالي للأسئلة المطروحة في فتوى المحكمة من شأنه أن يخلق وضعا ضد إسرائيل".
ولفت ساروشي، إلى أنه "ينبغي الحصول على موافقة إسرائيل في هذه القضية".
بدورها، قالت مديرة الشؤون القانونية في وزارة الخارجية البريطانية وممثلتها لدى محكمة العدل الدولية، سالي لانغريش، أن موقف بلادها من الصراع "معروف منذ زمن طويل، حيث أن حل الدولتين الحل الوحيد الذي سيضمن تقرير المصير للفلسطينيين ويحمي هوية إسرائيل وأمنها".
وأضافت لانغريش، أن "بريطانيا تريد وقفا فوريا للهجمات في غزة، ومن ثم التقدم نحو وقف مستدام ودائم لإطلاق النار".
والجمعة، هو اليوم الخامس من جلسات استماع تعقدها محكمة العدل الدولية بشأن العواقب القانونية لممارسات إسرائيل في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة بناء على طلب من الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة.
وتشمل جلسة الجمعة، مرافعات من ناميبيا والنرويج وسلطنة عمان وباكستان وإندونيسيا وقطر وبريطانيا وسلوفينيا والسودان وسويسرا وسوريا وتونس.
وفي رأي استشاري مماثل، قضت محكمة العدل الدولية عام 2004، بعدم قانونية بناء الجدار الفاصل في الضفة الغربية المحتلة، وطالبت إسرائيل بإزالته من كل الأراضي الفلسطينية، بما فيها القدس الشرقية وضواحيها، مع تعويض المتضررين، لكن تل أبيب لم تنفذ طلب المحكمة.
