المملكة تفوز باستضافة الدورة الحادية عشرة للمنتدى العالمي للمياه 2027

فازت المملكة باستضافة الدورة الحادية عشرة للمنتدى العالمي للمياه 2027 في الرياض، في حدث يؤكد اهتمامها وحرصها على استدامة موارد المياه وتحسين جودة الحياة، ودورها الريادي في دعم قضايا المياه إقليميًا ودوليًا، إضافةً إلى سعيها لتحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة.
جاء ذلك خلال الاجتماع الذي عقده المجلس العالمي للمياه اليوم بتركيا, للتصويت واختيار الدولة الفائزة باستضافة المنتدى، وحصلت المملكة على أصوات غالبية أعضاء المجلس، لتتفوق على دولة إيطاليا التي نافستها بقوة للظفر باستضافة المنتدى.
وأوضح وزير البيئة والمياه والزراعة المهندس عبدالرحمن بن عبدالمحسن الفضلي، أن فوز المملكة باستضافة المنتدى يُعد تتويجًا لتحقيق المستهدفات التنموية والاقتصادية والمجتمعية رغم كونها واحدة من أشد دول العالم ندرة في موارد المياه، ولكنها تمتلك بنية تحتية حديثة ومتطورة، بجانب أنظمة وتشريعات تنظم القطاع.
وأضاف أن الإستراتيجية الوطنية للمياه تعد خارطة الطريق التي ترسم المستقبل، وتساعد على تجاوز تحدياته بوضع أطر مؤسسية وهيكلية شاملة، وتوفير آليات تمكينيه، ووضع خطط تنفيذية فعالة، إلى جانب نظام المياه الذي يستهدف المحافظة على مصادر المياه، وتنميتها، وحمايتها، وضمان استدامتها، وإدارتها، وتنظيم شؤونها والحقوق المتعلقة بها وأوجه استخدامها، وضمان توفير إمدادات المياه بشكل آمن ونظيف وموثوق وبجودة عالية وبأسعار تنافسية تحقق العدالة بين المستهلكين.
إلى ذلك، عمل على تقديم ملف ترشح المملكة لاستضافة المنتدى، فريق مختص برئاسة معالي نائب وزير البيئة والمياه والزراعة المهندس منصور بن هلال المشيطي، وعدد من قادة منظومة المياه، ونجحوا في إبراز جهود المملكة في مجال المياه، ودعمها لقضايا المياه حول العالم.
ويعد المنتدى العالمي للمياه، الذي يُنظمه المجلس العالمي للمياه, الحدث الأكبر في مجال إدارة المياه, حيث تلتقي فيه الحكومات والمنظمات والمسؤولون والمتخصصون في جميع المجالات ذات العلاقة لتبادل الخبرات وفتح أوجه التعاون في سبيل تطوير القطاع وضمان استدامته.
ويوفر المنتدى منصة لتبادل الأفكار والمعرفة والتعاون بين الأطراف المعنية حول العالم، ويتيح الفرص لطرح أفضل الممارسات الدولية، وإيجاد سبل تعاون من شأنها ضمان الإدارة المستدامة لموارد المياه على مستوى العالم.
ويعزز نظام المياه الجديد مشاركة القطاع الخاص في الأنشطة، والإسهام في تحقيق هدف حصول كل شخص على مياه نظيفة وآمنة ومطابقة للمواصفات المعتمدة، وتلبية احتياجاته الطبيعية، ووفقًا للمعايير والخطط والبرامج المعتمدة، وكذلك ضمان توفير إمدادات المياه لكافة القطاعات التنموية، بما فيها القطاع الزراعي وبما يضمن استدامة هذا القطاع الحيوي، تحقيقًا لأهداف رؤية المملكة 2030.
