أعرب مالك نادي فولهام الإنجليزي، توني خان، عن تمسكه ببقاء الصربي ألكسندر ميتروفيتش، مهاجم الفريق الأول لكرة القدم، ورفضه فكرة بيع عقد المهاجم الذي أبدى رغبة في الانتقال إلى الهلال.
وكشفت صحيفة "ديلي ميل" عن إصرار مالك فولهام، على عدم بيع نجم الفريق ألكسندر ميتروفيتش، وذلك بعد تقدم الهلال بعرضين إلى النادي الإنجليزي، من أجل التعاقد مع المهاجم الصربي.

وكان الهلال قد رفع قيمة العرض المقدم إلى 35 مليون جنيه استرليني من أجل ضم ميتروفيتش، إلا أن إدارة فولهام رفضت العرض، وقدر النادي الإنجليزي قيمة اللاعب بمبلغ 53 مليون جنيه استرليني.
وكانت تقارير قد أشارت إلى غضب ميتروفيتش من رفض إدارة فولهام للعرض المقدم من الهلال، وتحدث اللاعب إلى أقاربه بأنه يلعب مع فولهام مجددًا.
وقدم ميتروفيتش آداءً مميزًا مع فولهام، خلال موسم 2022-2023، حيث سجل 14 هدفًا وصنع تمريرتين حاسمتين في 24 مباراة بالدوري الإنجليزي، كما سجل هدفًا وصنع تمريرتين حاسمتين في 4 مباريات بكأس الرابطة.
ويستعد الهلال للموسم الرياضي الجديد "2023-2024"، الذي يشهد مشاركة الزعيم في مسابقات "دوري روشن السعودي، كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين، كأس السوبر السعودي، دوري أبطال آسيا، كأس الملك سلمان للأندية العربية".
ويطمح ميتروفيتش نحو الانضمام إلى مواطنه سيرجي ميلينكوفيتش سافيتش، المنتقل حديثًا إلى الهلال من صفوف لاتسيو الإيطالي، بعقد لمدة ثلاثة مواسم، مقابل 40 مليون يورو.
