الولايات المتحدة تعلن نيتها احتواء روسيا والصين خلال العقد المقبل

قالت رئيس الإدارة الوطنية للأمن النووي الأمريكية جيل هروبي، إنه يتعين على الولايات المتحدة أن تكون مستعدة للانتقال خلال العقد المقبل، إلى الردع النووي المتزامن لكل من روسيا والصين.
وأضافت في حديثها في واشنطن خلال المؤتمر السنوي للردع النووي، إن روسيا تُظهر "سلوكا مزعزعا للاستقرار"، بما في ذلك من خلال نشر أسلحة نووية تكتيكية في بيلاروس، كما زعمت أن روسيا "ترفض حوار الحد من الأسلحة مع الولايات المتحدة".
وفي نفس السياق قالت إن "الصين تواصل تحديث وتوسيع ترسانتها النووية بوتيرة سريعة، وإدخال أحدث التقنيات مثل (الأسلحة) التي تفوق سرعتها سرعة الصوت، والتكنولوجيات ذات الاستخدام المزدوج".
وأشارت هروبي إلى أن اللجنة المكونة من الحزبين والتي تم إنشاؤها بقرار من الكونغرس الأمريكي، أرسلت إشارة واضحة، وهي أنه "يجب أن نكون مستعدين لردع قوتين نوويتين متساويتين فعليا خلال عقد من الزمن".
