أخبار ذات صلةذكرت تقرير إعلامي أمس، أن ما لا يقل عن نصف المباني في قطاع غزة تضررت أو دمرت منذ بداية الحرب قبل نحو 4 أشهر. وتشير بيانات الأقمار الاصطناعية التي حللتها جامعات أميركية إلى أن ما بين 144 ألفاً و175 ألف مبنى في جميع أنحاء الشريط الساحلي قد تضررت أو دمرت منذ 7 أكتوبر، ويعادل هذا ما بين 50 % و61 % من مباني غزة.
وتظهر الصور، التي حللها كوري شير من جامعة مدينة نيويورك وجامون فان دن هويك من جامعة ولاية أوريجون، أن القصف على جنوب ووسط قطاع غزة قد اشتد منذ بداية ديسمبر. ووفقاً للتحليل، تضررت مدينة خانيونس، وهي المدينة الرئيسة في جنوب غزة.
وفي جميع أنحاء قطاع غزة، دمرت مناطق سكنية، وتحولت شوارع التسوق المزدحمة سابقاً إلى أنقاض، ودمرت الجامعات واختلطت الأراضي الزراعية. وأظهرت الصور أن أكثر من 38 ألف مبنى في خانيونس قد دمرت أو تضررت. وفر آلاف الأشخاص من المدينة الواقعة في الجنوب بسبب القتال العنيف. ووفقاً للأمم المتحدة، يعيش الآن أكثر من 1.3 مليون شخص من سكان قطاع غزة البالغ عددهم 2.2 مليون نسمة، أو أكثر من نصف سكان قطاع غزة، في رفح على الحدود الجنوبية للقطاع مع مصر.
