أفصح وكيل هيئة الرقابة ومكافحة الفساد المتحدث الرسمي أحمد الحسين، عن الطريقة التي توصلت الهيئة لاكتشاف جرائم الفساد التي تورط فيها رئيس الهيئة الملكية لمحافظة العلا المهندس عمرو المدني.
وفي التفاصيل، قال خلال مداخلة مع قناة "العربية": "الهيئة لديها الأدوات التي تمكنها من الوصول إلى جمع المعلومات وتحليل البيانات لكشف جميع الوقائع التي تنطوي على فساد مالي وإداري وضبط مرتكبيها ".
وتابع: "رصدت الهيئة قيام الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة الملكية بمحافظة العلا بتزكية الشركة المذكورة في البيان وأنها من الشركات الرائدة بحكم عمله السابق فيها وأفصح أنه لم يعد له علاقة بها وبناء على ذلك تم التعاقد معها من قبل الهيئة الملكية، لكن تبين من التحريات أن المذكور لا يزال من ضمن ملاك الشركة، وخروجه منها كان بطريقة صورية فقط، وكان يستلم الأرباح السنوية".
وقال: "كما تبين للهيئة استغلاله نفوذه الوظيفي من خلال إلزام بعض الشركات المتعاقدة مع الهيئة الملكية بتنفيذ أعمال خارج نطاق العقد وذلك لمصلحته الشخصية".
وبين: "كما تبين أنه قبل التحاقه بالعمل الحكومي تم ترسية عدد من المشاريع بطريقة غير نظامية على الشركة المذكورة في البيان بالاشتراك مع أحد أقاربه". لافتا إلى أنه بعد ذلك انكشفت باقي الجرائم وتم إيقاف رئيس الهيئة الملكية لمحافظة العلا.
