مسؤول أممي: 16.9 أوكراني يحتاجون إلى دعم إنساني عاجل

قال المتحدث باسم المفوضية العليا لشؤون اللاجئين التابعة لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة، ماثيو سالتمارش، اليوم الثلاثاء، إن هناك نحو 16.9 مليون شخص في أوكرانيا في حاجة إلى دعم إنساني عاجل.
وشدد سالتمارش على أهمية استمرار التمويل الإنساني للاستجابة للاحتياجات الطارئة في المناطق الأمامية ودعم الأشخاص الذين تضرروا جراء الحرب.
وأوضح المتحدث في مؤتمر صحفي عُقد اليوم في جنيف، أن السكان يعملون بجد لإعادة بناء منازلهم وحياتهم في مناطق البلاد الأقل تعرضًا للعمليات العسكرية المباشرة، وذلك في ظل استمرار الحرب دون أي نهاية قريبة.
وأشار إلى أن هناك نحو 6.3 مليون لاجئ أوكراني لا يزالون مشردين من ديارهم بعد مرور نحو عامين على الغزو الروسي، معظمهم (5.9 مليون) في أوروبا، بالإضافة إلى نحو 3.7 مليون نازح داخليًا. وأشار إلى أن أوكرانيا تعد واحدة من أكبر الدول المنتجة للاجئين.
وأكد أن المنظمة الدولية أجرت دراسات استقصائية للاجئين لتقييم وتسليط الضوء على التحديات التي يواجهونها في المنفى.
ولفت إلى أن هناك 14% فقط من اللاجئين يخططون للعودة إلى أوكرانيا في المستقبل القريب، بينما ما زالت المخاوف الأمنية والوصول إلى الخدمات الأساسية والسكن وسبل العيش تشكل تحديات رئيسية.
وأوضح المُتحدث أن غالبية اللاجئين الأوكرانيين يعتزمون الاستمرار في إقامتهم في البلد المضيف الحالي، حيث يعتمدون بشكل كبير على الدعم المُقدَّم من الحكومات المُستضيفة والمجتمع الدولي لتلبية احتياجاتهم الأساسية، وتأمين الوصول إلى الخدمات الأساسية، وبناء قدراتهم الذاتية والاندماج الفعّال في المجتمعات التي يعيشون فيها.
وأعلنت المفوضية العُليا لشؤون اللاجئين أنها ستتعاون مع الأمم المُتحدة لإطلاق خطة استجابة إنسانية للأوكرانيين في الداخل وكذلك اللاجئون.
وتتضمن هذه الخطة دعمًا للحكومات المُضيفة في العديد من الدول مثل بلغاريا والتشيك وأستونيا والمجر ولاتفيا وليتوانيا ومولدوفا وبولندا ورومانيا وسلوفاكيا.
وأشارت المفوضية إلى أنها قد تضطر لإيقاف الأنشطة الأساسية إذا لم تتلق دعمًا مستدامًا من المجتمع الدولي للأوضاع في أوكرانيا والبلدان المُجاورة.
