مبادرات لولو الخضراء تحصد جائزة

تم تكريم هايبرماركت لولو، المملكة العربية السعودية، بجائزة "أفضل مبادرة لتحويل النفايات للعام (القطاع الخاص)" في جوائز التنظيف وإدارة النفايات وإدارة المرافق السعودية لعام ٢٠٢٣. تعترف هذه الجائزة بالخطوات التي قامت بها العملاقة التجارية في اتخاذ نهج شامل وذو تأثير في تقليل النفايات والاستدامة.

تم استلام الجائزة في حفل كبير في فندق ماريوت الرياض من قبل السيد شهيم محمد، المدير الإقليمي لمجموعة لولو السعودية للأسواق الكبرى ممثلًا لولو.

من خلال تنفيذ مجموعة من الخطوات التي لا تقلل فقط من أثرها الكربوني ولكن تتماشى أيضًا مع أهدافها في مجال الاستدامة، أظهرت لولو نهجًا متعدد الطبقات نحو أهداف ESG (الممارسات البيئية والاجتماعية وحوكمة الشركات) والاستدامة. تشمل الخطوات استثمارات كبيرة في الطاقة الشمسية، وكذلك مبادرات يومية مثل تقليل نفايات الورق من خلال استخدام أدوات رقمية وإيصالات إلكترونية، وكذلك تعزيز مشاركة العملاء من خلال استخدام الإيصالات الإلكترونية وكتيبات التسوق الرقمية، وروبوتات الدردشة عبر واتساب وكفاءة الاتصال. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، ركزت لولو بشدة على الترويج للأكياس القابلة لإعادة الاستخدام بدلاً من أكياس البلاستيك وحتى ربطت ذلك بدعم حملة توعية محلية حول سرطان الثدي.

كانت المبادرات شاملة - حيث تم تشجيع المتسوقين على التحول إلى استخدام إعادة ملء الحاويات في المحمصة، على سبيل المثال، مما يقلل من استخدام العناصر ذات الاستخدام الواحد. وقد أدى التحول إلى أكياس الورق وإعادة تدوير الكرتون إلى تقليل الأثر البيئي لدى لولو. تجعل شراكتها مع الشركة السعودية لإعادة التدوير (SIRC)وتثبيت أجهزة(RVM) لإعادة تدوير القوارير البلاستيكية. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، بادرت لولو بالتعاون مع كسوة لتقليل النفايات النسيجية ودعم المسؤولية البيئية.
تم تدريب الموظفين واعتماد نهج مسؤول بيئيا وموجه نحو العملاء داخل المنظمة.
