أعلنت مديرية الأمن العام مساء الجمعة، السيرة على حريق شب في مساحات واسعة من الأعشاب الجافة والأشجار الحرجية في منطقة الصفصافة. الواقعة بين محافظتي جرش وعجلون.

من جهته قال مدير العمليات والتدريب في مديرية الدفاع المدني العقيد فراس أبو السندس: إن عدد الضباط والأفراد الذين شاركوا بعملية الإطفاء بلغ 600 ضابط وفرد، إضافة إلى 70 آلية إطفاء، وبإسناد 4 طائرات من سلاح الجو الملكي، للحد من انتشار الحريق على مساحات شاسعة.
وأضاف أبو السندس لـ"رؤيا"، أن كوادر الأمن العام بالتعاون مع الجهات الوطنية ذات العلاقة، بذلت جهودا كبيرة للحد من امتداد الحريق.
وأشار إلى أن الكوادر العاملة تمكنت من السيطرة على الحريق وعدم انتشارة لما يزيد عن ألف دونم.
وأكد أن كوادر الأمن العام ما زالت في الموقع للتأكد من إخماد الحريق بشكل كامل وعدم امتداده.
