أكد استشاري الأمراض الباطنة الدكتور نزار باهبري أن مريض الإيدز يحق له شرعًا وقانونًا، أن يتزوج من امرأة سليمة أو مصابة، في حال التزم بالعلاج.
وأوضحت استشارية الأمراض المعدية والباطنة دكتورة بتول علي، أن كل الدراسات أثبتت أن الشخص المصاب بالفيروس، ويلتزم بعلاجه، ونسبة الفيروس عنده غير مقروء أو صفر، فهو شخص غير معدي.
وتابعت الدكتورة بتول أن النسبة إذا وصلت لـ 70 أو 100 تعتبر صفر، واذا نسى الدواء لمدة 3 أيام لا يوجد مشكلة، ولكن الطب لا يفضل أن تزيد المدة عن أسبوعين.

نجح فريق جراحة العظام في مستشفى المانع بالأحساء بقيادة الدكتور عدنان الراشد ، استشاري جراحة الأطراف العلوية والطب الرياضي وجراحة المفاصل الصناعية للركبة والفخذ في إجراء عملية استبدال مِفصل الكتف المقلوب لمريض سبعينيّ، عانى لفترةٍ طويلةٍ آلامًا حادةً وضعفًا شديدًا في الحركة؛ نتيجة إصابةٍ معقَّدةٍ في الكتف.
بدأت رحلة العلاج حينما راجع المريض عيادة جراحة الأطراف العلوية ، وأظهرت الفحوصات وجود تمزُّقٍ كاملٍ في جميع عضلات الكتف، وخشونةٍ شديدةٍ في المِفصَل؛ مما جعل التدخُّل الجراحيَّ الخيار الأفضل لضمان استعادة الوظيفة الحركية للمريض.

أكد الدكتور عدنان أن هذه العملية تُمثِّل حلًّا فعَّالًا للمرضى الذين يعانون خشونةً شديدةً وإصابات في العضلات الدوَّارة، مشيرًا إلى أن تقنية استبدال مِفصَل الكتف المقلوب تمنح المرضى قدرةً حركيةً طبيعية، وتساهم بشكلٍ كبيرٍ في تحسين جودة حياتهم.
