دبلوماسية أمريكية تزور الأردن والعراق لبحث التحديات الأقليمية

زارت فيكتوريا نولاند، القائمة بأعمال نائب وزير الخارجية الأمريكي، دولتي الأردن والعراق، في جولة استغرقت 4 أيام-؛ لمناقشة الأولويات الثنائية والإقليمية في المنطقة، بما في ذلك التحديات الأمنية الحالية.
أشارت وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية، في بيان نشرته عبر موقعها الإلكتروني، اليوم الخميس، إلى أن نولاند التقت خلال زيارتها العاصمة عمان يومي 17 و18 ديسمبر كبار المسؤولين الأردنيين، بمن فيهم رئيس الوزراء بشر الخصاونة، للتأكيد على قوة الشراكة بين الولايات المتحدة والأردن.
ناقشت المسؤولة الأمريكية، بحسب وكالة انباء الشرق الأوسط، الأولويات الثنائية والإقليمية، بما في ذلك الالتزام الأمريكي الأردني المشترك بتسريع وتيرة المساعدات الإنسانية إلى غزة وتعزيز حماية المدنيين.
بحسب البيان، توجهت القائمة بأعمال نائب وزير الخارجية الأمريكي إلى بغداد وأربيل بالعراق يومي 19 و20 ديسمبر، حيث ناقشت العلاقات الثنائية وأولويات الولايات المتحدة في المنطقة، بما في ذلك التحديات الأمنية الحالية.
في بغداد، التقت نولاند، رئيس الوزراء العراقي محمد شياع السوداني وكبار الشخصيات السياسية ورجال الأعمال والعاملين في المجال الإنساني لتجديد التزام واشنطن بعراق آمن ومستقر وذي سيادة.
هنأت نولاند، بحسب البيان، السوداني وقادة الإطار على انتخابات المحافظات، وشددت على أهمية التقارب العراقي- الأمريكي في مواجهة التهديدات الأمنية المشتركة.
في أربيل، التقت نولاند مسؤولين من حكومة إقليم كردستان وقادة الأحزاب السياسية وممثلي الأديان وناقشت الشراكة الأمريكية القوية مع إقليم كردستان العراق في إطار علاقاتهما الشاملة.
