وفاة أمير الكويت الشيخ نواف الأحمد الجابر الصباح

المستقلة/- أعلن الديوان الأميري الكويتي، السبت، عن وفاة الشيخ نواف الأحمد الجابر الصباح عن 86 عاما.
ولراحل هو الأمير السادس عشر للبلاد، وقد خلف أخاه غير الشقيق الشيخ صباح الأحمد الصباح على رأس البلاد قبل ثلاث سنوات.
وفي وقت سابق، قطع التلفزيون الكويتي برامجه لبث القرآن قبل أن يعلن الديوان الأميري خبر الوفاة.
ولد الشيخ نواف عام 1937، وهو خامس أبناء الشيخ أحمد الجابر الصباح، الحاكم الراحل الذي قاد الكويت من 1921 وحتى وفاته عام 1950.
وقال الديوان الأميري في بيان “ببالغ الحزن والأسى، ننعى إلى الشعب الكويتي والأمتين العربية والإسلامية وشعوب العالم الصديقة وفاة المغفور له بإذن الله تعالى حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ نواف الأحمد الجابر الصباح، أمير دولة الكويت الذي انتقل إلى جوار ربه ظهر اليوم السبت”.
ودخل أمير الكويت المستشفى في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر “إثر وعكة صحية طارئة لتلقي العلاج اللازم وإجراء فحوصات طبية”، وفق ما ذكرت وكالة الأنباء الكويتية (كونا). ثم أعلن لاحقا أن حالته مستقرة.
وسيحل محله أخوه غير الشقيق أيضا، ولي العهد الحالي الشيخ مشعل الأحمد الجابر الصباح الذي يبلغ 83 عاما.
