COP28.. منتدى «بلوغ الميل الأخير 2023» يُعلي دور القطاع الخاص في التعامل مع تحديات المناخ الصحية

تحت رعاية صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن زايد آل نهيان رئيس الدولة “حفظه الله”، وبالتعاون مع مؤسسة بيل وميليندا غيتس، وضمن فعاليات مؤتمر الأطراف COP28.. عقد منتدى «بلوغ الميل الأخير 2023» اليوم في مدينة إكسبو دبي، وذلك خلال «يوم الصحة» الذي أقيم ضمن البرنامج الرسمي لمؤتمر COP28.
وجمع المنتدى وفداً عالمياً ضم أفراداً من المجتمعات والخطوط الأمامية والقطاع الحكومي، لشحن قوى عمل جديدة والتعهد بالتزامات طموحة للتعامل مع التحديات الصحية التي تعانيها مجتمعات الميل الأخير جراء تغير المناخ، مثل شلل الأطفال والملاريا والأمراض المدارية المهملة.
وأكد المجتمعون أهمية أن تكون الأنظمة الصحية شمولية وبيّنوا دورها في تخفيف وطأة آثار أزمة المناخ، وتحدثوا عن الابتكارات والمبادرات ونماذج التمويل التي وفرت منظومة رعاية صحية مستدامة وعادلة لأكثر المجتمعات المحتاجة إليها.
ومن بين المشاركين في المنتدى الدكتور تيدروس أدهانوم غيبريسوس، مدير عام منظمة الصحة العالمية؛ والسير كريستوفر هون، مؤسس مؤسسة صندوق الاستثمار للأطفال؛ وتسيتسي ماسييوا، المؤسسة المشاركة ورئيسة لدى مؤسسة هاير لايف وديلتا فيلانثروبيز رئيسة مجلس إدارة “ذا إند فند”؛ وأميت بوري، الرئيس التنفيذي والمؤسس المشارك للشبكة العالمية للاستثمار المؤثر؛ وبدر جعفر، الممثل الخاص للأعمال التجارية والخيرية في مؤتمر COP28 والرئيس التنفيذي لشركة الهلال للمشاريع.
وفي الملاحظات الافتتاحية التي سبقت لجنة النقاش «تمويل الميل الأخير»، قال الممثل الخاص للأعمال التجارية والخيرية في COP28 بدر جعفر: «من أهم الأمور التي يركز عليها مؤتمر COP28 التأكيد على إشراك جميع مناطق العالم التي ستكون المستفيد الأكبر من الجهود والمبادرات المناخية. وبذلك، سنتيح لعدد أكبر من أصحاب رؤوس الأموال المجال لمضافرة الجهود بوتيرة أسرع وعلى نطاق أشمل، والتعاون لخدمة القضايا الملحة وتحقيق الأهداف المشتركة».
وأضاف بدر جعفر «يعي جيلنا القادم التداخل الوثيق بين أزمة المناخ ومجموعة واسعة من القضايا المجتمعية مثل الرعاية الصحية والأمن الغذائي والتنوع الحيوي والتكافؤ الاقتصادي. ومنتدى بلوغ الميل الأخير هو خير مثال على ما يمكن تحقيقه عندما يوحد الشركاء الخيريين المناسبين صفوفهم على المسار الصحيح وبالآلية الصحيحة، لاتخاذ خطوات واضحة الهدف وطويلة الأمد».
يذكر أن منتدى «بلوع الميل الأخير» انعقد من منطلق التزام قيادات دولة الإمارات بالقضاء على الأمراض التي يمكن الوقاية منها، وأبرز المجالات ذات التأثير وشجّع على العمل الجماعي المشترك وإيجاد الحلول المبتكرة. واتّحد أصحاب المصلحة على منصة المنتدى في الإعلان عن التزامات وتعهدات رائدة تلبية لدعوة مؤتمر COP28 إلى التعاون في بناء مستقبل أكثر صحة ومرونة.
