احتفالاً باليوم العالمي.. تكريم 122 متطوعًا بنادي الابتسامات لمتطوعي جمعية السكر

بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للتطوع وبحضور مدير فرع وزارة الموارد البشرية والتنمية الاجتماعية عبدالرحمن بن فهد المقبل، احتفلت الجمعية السعودية للسكر والغدد الصماء يوم أمس بمناسبة مرور عشر سنوات على تأسيس نادي الابتسامات الحلوة، والذي يعتبر أول نادي بالمملكة والخصص للأطفال المصابين بالسكري من النوع الأول، وتكريم المتطوعين والمتطوعات الذين شاركوا في تنظيم فعاليات وأنشطة وبرامج النادي والجمعية خلال السنة الماضية، والذي بلغ عددهم 122 فردا.
وقال مدير فرع وزارة المواد البشرية والتنمية الاجتماعية عبدالرحمن بن فهد المقبل "سعدنا هذا اليوم بتكريم المتطوعين والمتطوعات الذين دائما ما يبرزون فعاليات المملكة بأجمل صورها، وكذلك الذين شاركوا في إبراز فعاليات وأنشطة جمعية السكر والغدد الصماء ونادي الابتسامات الحلوة، وكذلك ممن شاركوا في حمل الشعلة الأولمبية السعودية، وكل من شارك في ابراز أنشطة المملكة عامة"
من جهته قال رئيس مجلس إدارة جمعية السكر والغدد الصماء عبدالعزيز بن علي التركي " كان لتأسيس نادي الابتسامات الحلوة، ضرورة ملحة نظرا نظرا للزيادة المطردة في أعداد الأطفال المصابين بالسكري من النوع الأول، حيث تشير إحصائيات الاتحاد الدولي للسكري أن المملكة العربية السعودية تحتل المركز الأول خليجياً والثاني عالميا في نسبة إصابة الأطفال بالسكري من النوع الأول، حيث تصل نسبة الإصابة إلى 35 لكل 100,000 (مائة ألف) وهي نسبة مرتفعة"
وأشار التركي بأن بداية أعضاء نادي الابتسامة الحلوة حين تأسيسه قبل عشر سنوات كانوا 80 طفلاً واليوم يتجاوز العدد 600 طفل. حيث يوفر النادي لهم أجهزة قياس سكر الدم ومستلزماتها، وأجهزة حقن الإنسولين بدون إبرة، وكذلك توفير أحدث أجهزة فحص سكر الدم بدون وخز، كما ينظم النادي عدد من الفعاليات والمخيمات وورش العمل للأطفال وأسرهم.
كما قدم التركي شكره وتقديره لكافة الجهات الداعمة على رعايتهم ودعمهم السخي لكافة أنشطة الجمعية السعودية للسكر والغدد الصماء ونادي الابتسامات الحلوة، والذي كان له عظيم الأثر في نفوس الأطفال وتحسن حالتهم الصحية والنفسية، معبرا عن شكره لكافة الرعاة من قطاع خاص والجهات الحكومية التي ساهمت في تحقيق منجزات الجمعية والنادي، أبرزهم هيئة تطوير المنطقة الشرقية "سايتك" وفرع وزارة الموارد البشرية والتنمية الاجتماعية بالمنطقة الشرقية، وكلية طب الأسنان بجامعة الإمام عبد الرحمن بن فيصل وغرفة الشرقية . ثم شاهد الحضور فيلما عن أنشطة وفعاليات نادي الابتسامة الحلوة على مدار عشرة أعوام، وبعد ذلك تم تكريم المتطوعين والمتطوعات وجميع الرعاة والداعمين المشاركين في برامج وانطشة الجمعية، وعلى هامش الاحتفال نظمت الجمعية ورشة عمل مع فنانه تشكيلية لأطفال السكر استفاد منها ٦٠ طفلاً.
