نجح مستشفى الدكتور سليمان الحبيب بالخبر، عبر فريق طبي متخصص في جراحات النساء والولادة ، بإجراء عملية دقيقة لإستئصال ورم ليفي كبير، تسبب في معاناة شديدة على مدار 3 سنوات، لمريضة تبلغ من العمر 36 سنة، أصابها بنوبات من الألم المزمن وانتفاخ أسفل البطن والشعور الدائم بالإرهاق، والحاجة المستمرة للإفراغ البولي، وعدم قدرتها على ممارسة مهامها اليومية بصورة طبيعية.

مشيرةً إلى أن الفريق الطبي المعالج قرر التدخل الجراحي العاجل، لإنهاء معاناة المريضة والحد من إصابتها بمزيد من المضاعفات، وقد استغرقت العملية 4 ساعات متواصلة تحت التخدير الكلي، وتم فيها تحرير الورم من التصاقاته واستئصاله بالكامل مع الحفاظ على الرحم. عقب ذلك نقلت المريضة لجناح التنويم، وتلقت رعاية طبية فائقة على مدار 3 أيام خرجت بعدها إلى منزلها وهي بصحة جيدة، بعد أن انتهت لديها كافة الأعراض السابق ذكرها وخاصة الألم المزمن الذي أنهك صحتها.
