تحت رعاية خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ـ حفظه الله ـ، تنطلق النسخة الثانية من دورة الألعاب السعودية 2023، خلال الفترة من 25 نوفمبر وحتى 10 ديسمبر المقبل 2023، والتي ستقام في العاصمة الرياض، ـ حيث يتنافس الرياضيون في 53 رياضة فردية وجماعية ـ تتضمن 6 ألعاب خصصت للرياضات البارالمبية، و4 رياضات استعراضية، و12 رياضة في بطولة الألعاب السعودية للشباب.

وبهذه المناسبة، رفع صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي بن فيصل؛ وزير الرياضة رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية رئيس اللجنة العليا المنظمة لدورة الألعاب السعودية، خالص الشكر والامتنان لخادم الحرمين الشريفين، على رعايته الكريمة للنسخة الثانية من الدورة، مشيراً إلى أن هذه الرعاية تعكس دعم القيادة الرشيدة للقطاع الرياضي، واهتمامها البالغ بالرياضيين.

وقال سموه: "إن الدعم السخي من لدن خادم الحرمين الشريفين، واهتمام صاحب السمو الملكي ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء ـ حفظهما الله ـ، أسهما بصورة كبرى في الارتقاء بالقطاع الرياضي، كما أن إقامة دورة الألعاب السعودية للسنة الثانية على التوالي، تعكس مدى تحقيق أهداف رؤية السعودية 2030 في دعم أبنائها، والعمل على بناء جيل يرفع اسم المملكة عالياً في المحافل الدولية".

وتعد دورة الألعاب السعودية أكبر حدث رياضي وطني في تاريخ المملكة؛ إذ يتنافس الرياضيون المشاركون على جوائز مجموعها يتجاوز 200 مليون ريال؛ حيث سيحصل الفائز بالميدالية الذهبية على مليون ريال، والفضية 300 ألف ريال، والبرونزية 100 ألف ريال، فيما يحصل الفائز بالميدالية الذهبية في فئة الشباب على 100 ألف ريال، والفضية 50 ألف ريال، والبرونزية 25 ألف ريال.
