نجح فريق المركز السعودي لزراعة الأعضاء خلال الأسبوع الماضي في الحصول على موافقات للتبرع بالأعضاء من أسر 5 متوفين دماغياً في كلٍ من مستشفى قوى الأمن بمكة المكرمة ومستشفى الزهراء بالدمام ومستشفى كليفلاند في أبوظبي.
وتم إنقاذ حياة مواطنين يبلغان من العمر 46 و11 عاماً من مرض الفشل القلبي، وذلك بإجراء عمليتي زراعة قلب لهما، كما تم إنقاذ حياة مواطنين آخرين يبلغان من العمر 36 و58 عامًا من القصور الكبدي النهائي بإجراء عمليتي زراعة كبد لهما، بالإضافة إلى إجراء عملية زراعة رئة لمواطنين يبلغان من العمر 21 و31 عاماً لإنقاذ حياتهما من مرض القصور الرئوي النهائي، وتم إجراء عمليتي زراعة كلى أنهت معاناة طفلة تبلغ من العمر 14 عامًا ومواطن يبلغ من العمر 45 عامًا.
وأوضح المدير العام للمركز السعودي لزراعة الأعضاء الدكتور طلال القوفي أن عملية توزيع الأعضاء تمت وفق الأخلاقيات الطبية وبما يضمن عدالة التوزيع حسب الأولويات الطبية للمرضى، وأن النجاح المحقق جاء نتيجة التعاون المميز والمشترك بين الجهات المعنية كافة.
وأعرب عن امتنانه وتقديره لعوائل المتوفين الذين آثروا التبرع بأعضائهم وأن يهبوا حياة جديدة لهؤلاء المرضى، داعياً الله سبحانه أن يجزيهم خير الجزاء.
