وتميزت الوحدة بإجراء عمليات استبدال المفصل الصناعي بتقنية الروبوت الجراحي Robotic surgeon، التي تعد من أكثر الطرق فعالية للتخلص من آلام المفصل، وتتم بواسطة استبدال الأسطح التالفة وتحسين آلية الركبة، بما يسمح للعضلات التي أضعفها الاحتكاك باستعادة قوتها، مع أجود أنواع المفاصل الصناعية التي تتميز بطول عمرها الافتراضي والمرونة واتاحة مجال أكبر من الحركة مقارب جداً لحركة المفصل الطبيعي وزيادة ثباته.
