EFG Hermes Successfully Concludes Advisory on an EGP 6.0 billion Syndicated Loan for Orascom Development Egypt’s (ODE) Subsidiary to Finance the Development of O WestProject

The financing transaction، which will be directed to accelerate the construction of its flagship development، O West، is a continuation of a series of landmark advisory transactions successfully concluded for ODE over the past few years.

EFG Hermes، the leading investment bank franchise in Frontier and Emerging markets (FEM)، announced today that its investment banking division has successfully completed advisory for Orascom Development Egypt’s (ODE) subsidiary Orascom for Real Estate S.
This transaction marks an important milestone in the development cycle of the O West project and is a testament to its strong financial profile. The loan will support ORE’s plan to accelerate the pace of construction and continue the delivery program، which started earlier this year، and EGP 1.5 billion would be directed to refinance the bridge facility obtained last year for the project.

EFG Hermes has also successfully concluded debt advisory transactions with leading developers in Egypt، namely TMG، as well as Palm Hills Developments، Orascom Development Egypt، Madinet Masr (previously Madinet Nasr for Housing and Development)، Marakez، SODIC، and Misr Italia Properties، amongst others. This is in addition to debt financing transactions concluded with leading mortgage providers،including the Egyptian Mortgage Finance Company (EMRC)، Bedaya Mortgage Finance، and Al Taamir Mortgage Finance.

وأضاف في مقال ترجمته "عربي21"، أن "المحرقة والنكبة ظاهرتين مرتبطتين ببعضهما من خلال علاقة سببية واستمرارية تاريخية، متشابكتين لا يمكن فصلهما، وقد حُلّت المشكلة اليهودية عبر أرض استُوطِنت، ثم احتُلت، لكن هذا لم يحل مسألة اللاجئين أو مسألة عديمي الجنسية، على العكس من ذلك، حيث أدى حل المسألة اليهودية لخلق فئة جديدة من اللاجئين، وهم الفلسطينيون، وبالتالي فقد بدأ الصهاينة يتبنّون مبادئ التطهير، والتفوق، والإخضاع".
وصف الفلسطيني بـ"النازي"
وأشار إلى أن "وصف الفلسطينيين بالنازيين بات عنصرا أساسيا في الدعاية الصهيونية لتبرير أفعالها ضدهم، وأحيانا بدعم من دول الكتلة الغربية خلال الحرب الباردة، كما انعكس في وصف جمال عبد الناصر بأنه هتلر، وشكل هذا التصنيف أساسا لإضفاء الشرعية على الإجراءات الإسرائيلية الرامية لإفشال الاتفاق الموقع بين بريطانيا ومصر لإجلاء القوات العسكرية البريطانية من قناة السويس، وتضمن تشغيل شبكة تجسس وتخريب إسرائيلية داخل مصر المسماة عملية سوزانا، وتسمى في دولة الاحتلال باسم القضية المخزية".
وأوضح أن "الاستخدام الصهيوني لموضوع المحرقة وصل ذروته في حرب 1967، التي أسفرت عن احتلال سيناء وغزة والضفة والجولان، وأطلق عليه الخطاب الإسرائيلي اسم التحرير، ووصفه ديفيد بن غوريون بأنه تأسيس مملكة إسرائيل الثالثة، على اعتبار أن الكارثة التي حصلت لليهود شكلت لهم في الوقت ذاته محركا للخلاص، وهذه مفردات مسيحانية حظيت لاحقا في انتشار لافت في كتابات الحاخامات اليهود، لتمهيد الطريق نحو منح قدسية للزي العسكري والأسلحة والقسوة في التعامل مع غير اليهود".
تبرير الوحشية
وأشار إلى أن "تحوّل اليهودي لشخص قادر على استخدام العنف القاسي عنصر مركزي في تحوله لصاحب سيادة، بات شعارا لبسط مزيد من السيطرة على أراضي الفلسطينيين، والاستيطان فيها، وظهر التحليل القاسي للهولوكوست أساسا لتبرير العنف ضد الفلسطينيين، لأنه في فترة لاحقة تم استبدال عبد الناصر باعتباره تجسيداً لهتلر بالزعيم الفلسطيني الراحل ياسر عرفات، حيث تم تبرير الوحشية العنيفة ضد الفلسطينيين خلال حرب لبنان 1982، وتم تعريفها بأنها حرب "اختيار" على حدّ وصف مناحيم بيغن بزعم منع وقوع محرقة ثانية".
أكثر من ذلك، يقول الكاتب، حيث "تم إنكار الدوافع الملموسة للفلسطينيين لاستخدام العنف ضد الاحتلال، رغم قمعيته واحتلاله وتوسّعه على حساب أراضيهم، وفي المقابل تقديمه بأنه دولة تستخدم العنف لتحقيق "الأمن" ممن يُهدّدونها بالهولوكوست، وهي بذلك تسعى لتقديم نفسها في صورة الدولة التي تغلق الدائرة، وتشكّل شفاءً كاملاً من صدمة الهولوكوست، وفي الوقت نفسه تحافظ على الصدمة كقوة دافعة لاستخدام العنف ضد الفلسطينيين والعرب، وتُبرّر استمرار العنف والقسوة والتوسع المستمر باسم الهولوكوست".
تصدير الأزمات
ولفت الكاتب إلى أن "استخدام المحرقة جاء كجزء من إنكار الوضع الاستعماري الذي يواصل الاحتلال الحفاظ عليه، والزعم بأن الصهيونية تشكل الملاذ الآمن وفرضها كمشروع استعماري، واليوم وصل حجم ومدى هذا الاستخدام الى تبرير السيطرة الوحشية والعنيفة على الفلسطينيين، وتحويل قطاع غزة مكانا غير صالح للسكن، وارتكاب المذابح لتحقيق هذه النبوءة، وصولا لارتكاب جرائم حرب وحشية وجرائم ضد الإنسانية في حرب الإبادة الجارية اليوم، ولكن من خلال منحها المزيد من التبريرات، وإضفاء طابع دفاعي عليها، باعتبارها عنفاً مؤقتاً".
وأوضح أن "الاحتلال ينظر للعنف الممارس ضد الفلسطينيين كمحاولة لإصلاح الصدع الداخلي، وشفاءً واضحاً للشقوق التي انفتحت داخل المجتمع منذ بدء الانقلاب القانوني، ويُنظر لساحة العدوان في غزة بأنها استعادة للوحدة التي فقدتها الدولة بسبب الكراهية والقسوة ضد الفلسطينيين، وصولا للنفي الكامل لوجود الشعب الفلسطيني في غزة، حتى أنه في أول اجتماع للحكومة بعد السابع من أكتوبر، قال وزير المالية بيتسلئيل سموتريتش إننا "بحاجة لأن نكون قاسيين، لا أن نراعي الفلسطينيين أكثر مما ينبغي".
وختم بالقول إن "توظيف الحركة الصهيونية سابقا، واليوم حكومة الاحتلال، لفكرة المحرقة، باتت مقدمة لشرعنة المزيد من ممارسات القسوة ضد الفلسطينيين، على اعتبار أن الجرائم المرتكبة بحقهم أداة للخلاص اليهودي، حتى لو كان من خلال العنف الوحشي، وتبرير الإبادة الجماعية التي نرى معالمها اليوم تحت أنقاض بيت لاهيا وغزة ورفح، ومُتجسّدة في أجساد الأطفال والرضع يومياً، وأجساد النازحين في الخيام، جوعى للخبز، ومتعطشين للماء".
