خطط لعيادات إضافية ببرنامج الرعاية المتكاملة لكبار السن

شهدت سعادة الدكتورة حنان محمد الكواري، وزيرة الصحة العامة حفل افتتاح مؤتمر قطر الدولي الثالث لطب الشيخوخة والخرف. ورافق سعادتها في الجلسة الافتتاحية؛ سعادة الدكتور صالح مهدي الحسناوي، وزير الصحة في جمهورية العراق، وعدد من كبار الشخصيات.
استضاف المؤتمر الذي استمر ثلاثة أيام في الفترة من 26 إلى 28 أكتوبر الحالي المركز المتعاون مع منظمة الصحة العالمية للشيخوخة الصحية والخرف، والذي تديره إدارة طب الشيخوخة والرعاية المطولة في مؤسسة حمد الطبية، بمشاركة أكثر من 800 متخصص من مؤسسات الرعاية الصحية المحلية والدولية، لمناقشة سبل التصدي للتحديات والاحتياجات العالمية المتزايدة لتطوير رعاية صحية متناسبة مع كبار السن.
تناول البرنامج العلمي للمؤتمر مناقشات واسعة النطاق حول آخر الأبحاث الدولية القائمة على الأدلة، فضلاً عن خيارات التشخيص والعلاج لإدارة متلازمات الشيخوخة ورعاية الأفراد المصابين بالخرف.
وسلط الضوء على أهمية الرعاية المتكاملة والمتعددة التخصصات لكبار السن، مع تعزيز جدول الأعمال الإستراتيجي للشيخوخة الصحية والتي تهدف إلى تشجيع تبني نمط حياة أفضل في الحياة المبكرة لدعم الرفاه العام في وقت لاحق من الحياة.
وأعربت الدكتورة هنادي الحمد، رئيس المركز المتعاون مع منظمة الصحة العالمية للشيخوخة الصحية والخرف ونائب رئيس الرعاية المطولة وإعادة التأهيل وطب الشيخوخة بمؤسسة حمد الطبية، عن سعادتها بالنتائج الإيجابية للمؤتمر.
وقالت: «مع استمرار خضوع السكان لتحولات ديموغرافية وتزايد الشيخوخة، فإنه من المهم بالنسبة لنا معالجة التحديات والفرص بشكل استباقي. تتماشى الأجندة الإستراتيجية للشيخوخة الصحية مع الإستراتيجية الوطنية للصحة ورؤية قطر لسكان أكثر صحة وسعادة. كما يعتبر التعليم عنصرا مهما في دعم هذه الأجندة التي كانت الدافع لهذا المؤتمر».
وأعربت الدكتورة هنادي عن امتنانها للدعم الهائل الذي تلقته وزارة الصحة العامة ومؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية، وأضافت: «لعبت وزارة الصحة دوراً أساسياً في تطويرنا للخطة الوطنية للخرف، التي أطلقناها في عام 2018.
وأضافت: نعمل حاليا على الإصدار الثاني المقرر نشره العام المقبل. كذلك، نعمل عن كثب مع شركائنا في الرعاية الأولية لتوسيع عيادات الذاكرة، التي طورها قسم طب الشيخوخة والرعاية المطولة في مؤسسة حمد الطبية، في المراكز الصحية في جميع أنحاء قطر لتسهيل الوصول إلى المرضى الأكبر سناً، لافتة إلى أن هذه العيادة تهدف إلى منع وإدارة الانخفاض في القدرة الجوهرية، والتي تشير إلى القدرات البدنية والعقلية التي يحتاجها الناس ليكونوا متنقلين ومستقلين وللمساهمة في مجتمعاتهم. وقالت الدكتورة هنادي الحمد: نحن نخطط لتوسيع عيادات إضافية لبرنامج الرعاية المتكاملة لكبار السن في مراكز الرعاية الأولية في المجتمع بعد نجاح عيادة الرعاية المتكاملة لكبار السن التجريبية التي أطلقناها في وقت سابق من هذا العام».
الجدير بالذكر أن برنامج الرعاية المتكاملة لكبار السن (ICOPE) هو مجموعة من الأدوات والمبادئ التوجيهية القائمة على الأدلة لأخصائيي الرعاية الصحية لتقييم صحة كبار السن ومعالجتها بشكل شامل. يغطي البرنامج المجالات الرئيسية مثل التنقل والإدراك والرؤية والسمع والتغذية والمشاركة الاجتماعية. ومن خلال تعزيز الرعاية المتكاملة والتدخل المبكر، يسعى البرنامج إلى تمكين كبار السن من الحفاظ على استقلاليتهم ونوعية حياتهم مع تقدمهم في السن.
