الصندوق السعودي للتنمية يوقع أول اتفاقية تنموية لدعم قطاع المياه في الأرجنتين

وقّع سعادة الرئيس التنفيذي للصندوق السعودي للتنمية الأستاذ سلطان بن عبدالرحمن المرشد، اليوم في مقر الصندوق بالرياض، أول اتفاقية قرض تنموي ميسّر مقدّم من الصندوق بقيمة 100 مليون دولار؛ مع الجانب الأرجنتيني ممثلًا في حاكم ولاية قرطبة السيد خوان شيكاريتي، وحاكم ولاية سنتافيه السيد عمر بيروتي؛ للإسهام في تمويل المرحلة الأولى من مشروع إنشاء القناة المائية المشتركة في ولايتي سنتافيه وقرطبة في جمهورية الأرجنتين،

وحضر مراسم توقيع الاتفاقية، معالي وزير الأشغال العامة ومعالي وزير الخدمات العامة في قرطبة، ومعالي وزير الاقتصاد في سنتافيه، بالإضافة إلى سعادة سفير جمهورية الأرجنتين لدى المملكة العربية السعودية، وعدد من المسؤولين من الجانبين.

وتهدف الاتفاقية الموقّعة للمرحلة الأولى من المشروع، إلى تغطية الطلب المتزايد من سكان ولايتي سنتافيه وقرطبة للمياه النظيفة الصالحة للشرب وذلك لتعزيز الموارد المائية، إذ سيوفّر المشروع المياه لأكثر من 410.000 مستفيد في 54 مدينة، ليسهم المشروع في تحقيق الهدف الثالث من أهداف التنمية المستدامة المتمثّل في الصحة الجيدة والرفاه، والهدف السادس المتمثّل في المياه النظيفة والنظافة الصحية، فضلًا عن دعم وتحفيز فرص العمل المباشرة وغير المباشرة للسكان، ودعم النمو الاجتماعي والازدهار الاقتصادي.

وقال سعادة الأستاذ سلطان المرشد "تأتي هذه الاتفاقية الأولى إسهامًا في دعم الوصول إلى المياه النظيفة الصالحة للشرب، التي تُعد أحد أهم الاحتياجات الأساسية في حياة الإنسان، وذلك للحد من الأمراض والأوبئة الناتجة عن المياه الملوثة، ومن خلال هذا التمويل الإنمائي يسهم الصندوق السعودي للتنمية في تقديم الدور الحيوي لدعم هذا المشروع المهم، كما نتطلع إلى مواصلة دعم المشروعات التي تعمل على تحسين الوصول إلى مياه الشرب النظيفة في مختلف البلدان حول العالم، والتي من شأنها تحقق الأثر التنموي في حياة المستفيدين".

وعبّر حاكم ولاية قرطبة عن سعادته بالتواجد في بلدهم الثاني المملكة العربية السعودية، مثمّنًا توقيع هذه الاتفاقية التي تأتي انطلاقًا للتعاون الإنمائي بين الجانبين والتي سيستفيد منها الكثير من سكان الولايتين والمناطق المجاورة، متطلعًا إلى تعزيز هذه الخطوة الفاعلة مستقبلًا، ومن جانبه شكر حاكم ولاية سنتافيه؛ فريق عمل الصندوق على جهودهم في الاهتمام والتعاون الذي نتج عنه إنجاز هذه الاتفاقية، مشيدًا بهذه الخطوة التاريخية المهمة التي تُعد أول تعاون تنموي واقتصادي بين الجانبين.

الجدير بالذكر أن هذه الاتفاقية تُعد أُولى خطوات التعاون الإنمائي بين الصندوق السعودي للتنمية وجمهورية الأرجنتين مما يجعلها الدولة الثالثة والتسعين التي تتلقى الدعم والتمويل لمشروعٍ تنمويٍ من الصندوق، وذلك ضمن دعمه الإنمائي الدولي منذ تأسيسه في عام 1974م، إذ وصل نشاطه إلى تمويل أكثر من 750 مشروع وبرنامج إنمائي في مختلف القطاعات التنموية بقيمة ما يقارب 20 مليار دولار، في أكثر من 90 دولة حول العالم.
